led by Ryan Sakamoto, Ryan requests 15 images on a flash drive or cd for the
November meeting as a way of encouraging image sharing to share with the club.

Guest Speaker:
Mr. Tom Walker
Tom Walker is an image specialist—from creating visual
images for his photography business, to crafting brand images and digital
strategies for such organizations as MIT, Stanford University, and American
Museum of Natural History. Walker also
works with photographers and other visual professionals to turn their work into
successful cross media ventures which include book, exhibitions and digital
initiatives.
Working
with Pulitzer-prize winning photographer David Hume Kennerly, he produced a
book on Kennerly’s years as White House photographer, Extraordinary
Circumstances, The Presidency of Gerald R. Ford, and most recently produced National
Geographic photographer Paul Chesley’s retrospective book, Paul Chesley: A
Photographic Voyage. Other projects
include New York Times bestsellers A Day in the Life of America, A Day in the
Life of the Soviet Union and America 24/7,
as well as From Alice to Ocean, The Who’s Tommy, The Nature of America,
and Passage to Vietnam. He also has produced and designed three official
Presidential inaugural books and served as one of the official photographers
for the 2008 Obama Inauguration.
A former
Olympus master photographer, Walker is currently developing a photo book and
exhibition of his own photographs entitled Triumph of Spirit featuring his
portraits of Paralympic athletes.
